Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the IsleHop mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
Description of Service
IsleHop is a travel discovery and planning app for the Greek islands. The Service includes:
- Island information, guides, and points of interest
- Trip planning and itinerary tools
- Business listings (restaurants, hotels, activities, and more)
- Community features: ratings, reviews, and shared spots
- AI-powered travel recommendations
- Real-time island updates and live information
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
Accounts
Registration
To access certain features you must create an account using a valid email address or through Google or Apple sign-in. You must provide accurate and complete information.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at isle.hop.2026@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
One Account Per Person
Each person may maintain only one personal account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans or restrictions is prohibited.
Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.
User Conduct
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Spam, advertise, or solicit other users without permission
- Impersonate any person or business
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract data from the app
- Violate any applicable local, national, or EU law
- Post content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights
User-Generated Content
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create in IsleHop — reviews, community spots, comments, and photos. By posting content, you grant IsleHop a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and promote that content within the Service.
Content Standards
All user content must:
- Be truthful and based on genuine experience
- Not contain personal data of others without their consent
- Not infringe copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
- Relate to the Greek islands and travel topics
Moderation
We may remove any content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
Business Listings
Businesses can appear on IsleHop either through our admin team or by registering directly. Business owners who claim or create a listing agree that:
- All information provided (name, address, contact, description) is accurate and up to date
- They have authority to represent the business
- Photos uploaded are owned by them or used with permission
- They will keep their listing information current
IsleHop does not verify the accuracy of all business information and is not responsible for errors in listings provided by third parties. Users should verify details independently before visiting a business.
Paid Plans & Payments
Business Plans
IsleHop offers paid subscription plans for business owners:
Billing & Renewal
Paid plans are billed in advance for the chosen period. Annual plans renew automatically unless cancelled at least 7 days before the renewal date. You will receive a reminder email before each renewal.
Refunds
Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase if the service has not been substantially used. No refunds are issued for partial periods after cancellation of an annual plan. Contact us to request a refund.
Price Changes
We may change plan pricing with at least 30 days' notice before the change takes effect. Existing subscribers will be notified by email and may cancel before the new price applies.
Intellectual Property
The IsleHop name, logo, app design, and all original content created by us (island guides, curated data, UI elements) are the intellectual property of IsleHop and are protected by Greek and EU copyright law.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission, except as permitted by applicable law (e.g. fair use for personal reference).
If you believe content on IsleHop infringes your copyright, contact us at isle.hop.2026@gmail.com with the details of the alleged infringement.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
- Island and business information is provided for general guidance only. Opening hours, prices, and availability may change without notice.
- Travel conditions, ferry schedules, and weather are beyond our control and we accept no responsibility for disruptions to your plans.
- AI-generated recommendations are suggestions only and should not replace professional travel advice.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IsleHop and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of bookings, or travel disruption.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to IsleHop in the 12 months prior to the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Greek or EU consumer law.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. On termination:
- Your right to use the Service ends immediately
- We may delete your account data as described in the Privacy Policy
- No refund of paid plan fees will be issued for the remaining period, unless otherwise required by law
Sections on Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law survive termination.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece and, where applicable, European Union regulations including the GDPR and the Digital Services Act. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Greece.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also contact the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.
